Annual Meeting

Agenda
1. Introductory Remarks:  Meeting called to order at 9am.
 
2. Approval of Minutes of 2018 Annual Meeting: After review, motion was made by Dorthey C. to approve minutes; seconded by Gary T.  
 
3. Treasurer’s Report:  Budget was discussed in detail.  It was noted that the landing collection increased from $3 to $5.  Motion to approve treasurer report made by Steve R., seconded by John Tramburg.
 
4. Audit Review:  The annual audit was discussed in conjunction with the Treasurer’s report and motion to accept the report was approved with the Treasurer’s report motion.
 
Old Business
 
1. Weed Harvesting:  Report was given by Mike.  The cutting season was from May 16 through Oct. 18 with 118 loads total.  Its noted that the lake is getting deeper due to new dam flow. 
 
2. Budget Hearing and Adoption for 2020:  Motion to adopt budget for 2020 by Jim T, second by Dorthy C.
 
3. Approval of Tax Levy:  Tax levy was discussed.  Motion by Steve T. to approve tax levy, seconded by John L.
 
4. Election of Commissioner:  John Ladwig was elected to the board to replace Joe Streeter.
 
Other Business
Thank you, Joe Streeter, for a job well done.   
Suggestion was made that the day after the Fishery; we should do a volunteer community clean-up.  Perhaps we involve the Rod & Gun club, since they ae the ones that put on the fishery.  Discussion was had to possible put the community clean up info onto the LLMD website.
 
There was a lot of discussion about the fish limits on the lake.  Jin Tank made a motion to propose to go to the DNR and ask that the Northern limits be decreased from 2 to 1 but increase the size limit from 26 in. to 30-34 in.  Motion was seconded by Dorthy C.  Motion was brought to full vote and was denied. 
** It was discussed that we invite the DNR to come to the next annual meeting to answer questions about things such as fishing limits.    Joe S. recommended discussing this issue during regular commission meetings.
