Attendance: John Ladwig, Jason Watters , Linda Henning, Dick Habenicht, and Kendall Brunker
Agenda:
  1. Call to order- 6:05pm
  2. Review of Minutes for Wednesday March 10. 2021
  3. Approval of Minutes John Ladwig Motion Dick Habenicht Second
  4. Public Input – Cutting by Jim Tank duck blind, Can we confirm that there is indeed a special permit allowing for this with Sue Gram.  Possible invite/ letter to Jim to discuss cutting and lay out of hunting/fishing rights to the property.  Can we contact DNR and get a letter about the duck blind being public property as it is on the water.  (Verbal agreement for now – will be re-assessed and addressed at the next aquatic plan)
  5. Treasurer Report
    1. General Checking has $34654.99 in it. 
    2. 2021 to date profit and loss attached.  Addendum A
    3. Motion to approve treasurers report Dick Motion – John Second. Motion Carried
  6. Old Business
    1. Linda Confirmed Check sent to DNR
    2. Approval was given at yearly meeting for the purchase of a new truck. 
      1. Continuing to look at and price out several options
      2. John looking into dump truck option out on Hemling
      3. Need to figure out pull capacity for a new truck
    3. Old cutter, elevator, truck, and trailer is listed for $40,000. 
      1. In talks with potential buyer. 
      2. $40,000 listing price is high, would be happy with $25,000 for old cutter, elevator, trailer, and truck.
      3. Would need to buy truck/ rent before making a final sale of old equipment.
      4. New picture to potential buyer doesn’t need at the moment but may be interested end of Summer
      5. We should list and advertise
    4. Checking/ Updating of Signs at deposit boxes/ Lake by laws
      1. John has updated and posted the new signs
      2. Donation removed from money cans
    5. Kendall Brunker brought up the idea to host a Lake District Block Party
      1. Great way to get our Lake neighbors together.
      2. Kendall will organizer a brat and beer sale.
      3. Invite to Lake District Mail List August 12th.  – Party September 12th
      4. Pic-Nic License – Licensed Bartender
      5. Potential for future growth of Block Party into fundraiser
        1. Kayak Launch Pad
        2. Fish Stocking
        3. Playground/Bathrooms
  7. New Business
    1. Tree removal at sleepy hallow?
    2. Switch from GFL to Columbia County disposal
    3. Nick Figol is new hirer working with Jason cutting weeds. 
      1. Going great
      2. Nick is paid $16
      3. Potential to increase later in year or fall
    4. Raise for Jason – John Ladwig motioned to increase pay to $17.50hr at next pay period, Kendall Brunker Second. Motion approved
    5. Gift for Mike – thanking him for his years of service and wishing him a speedy recovery.
    6. The new Secretary, Kendall Brunker, will be a new signer for checks for the Lazy Lake Management District replacing Dana Tice(Wood), the former secretary. Dana Tice (Wood) should be removed as a signer. The Treasurer, Richard Habenicht, and Linda Henning, the Bookkeeper, will remain as signers.
  8. Commissioner’s Meeting Schedule – 4 meetings needed
    1. 1st meeting May 5th, 2021
    2. 2nd meeting June 23rd , 2021 (6pm @ Fall River Village Hall)
    3. 3rd meeting September 8th, 2021 (6pm @Fall River Village Hall)
